4th March 2007 Windsurfing: felixstowe Wind Direction: ESE Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: some waves on sandbanks and du Air Temperature: 8 Sea Temperature: 9 Weather: coundy then rain Max Speed: Distance Covered: Wind was more or less on shore at the dip. Rigged 6m and got out OK. Came in once for a rest and sailed about 2 hours. Had a rest then Roger turned up (2 others out). Shore dump increased about an hour after high tide I had changed fm 38 to 34cm fin. that was a mistake as tide was with wind and I found it hard to get going close to shore in the wind shadow. Once 50 yards out I got going and gave up after another 30 mins as knackered. Suffered about 8 dumps clsoe to shore but once out it was great with some big waves over the sandbandks. |
